Wide, golden eyes are trained as best they can on the tall, dark man. He can’t tell if the stranger is messing with him or deadly serious, and he’d rather not have to find out. But, the being asks him what he thinks, and the look in those eyes sends a chill through Aden’s body.
"Don’t talk about my mother so flippantly," is the first thing he says in response, rather defensively. The Boogeyman? That’s just… he doesn’t want to accept the existence of such a being. At least phenomena like homunculi and the Portal of Truth can be explained with alchemy, but a character from fantasy being real? Maybe he’s just snapped and is merely experience an unusually vivid hallucination.
But, on the off chance this is real, he doesn’t want to piss the guy off, so he plays along as best he can. “Well… I have been very naughty.”
"Oh, don’t I know it," he says with a chuckle.
As they converse, he lightly probes and explores the boy’s unraveling mind. It’s a difficult thing to navigate, but Pitch is a master telepath so the insanity he finds isn’t too terrible an obstacle. And he’s finding it more and more odd that Aden can see him. His lucid thoughts prove he doesn’t think something like Pitch can exist, which by default technically means he doesn’t Believe. Yet here they are, sitting side by side and chatting. Curious…
"That doesn’t look very comfortable." He comments, gesturing to the youth’s attire.
